Phil Burleigh moves South!

Phil Burleigh flew South with his Chiefs team mates but only to don opposition colours as he joined the Highlanders Squad as a replacement player.

The 25-year-old Bay of Plenty midfielder played for the Chiefs against the Rebels last week but has now been plucked from the Chiefs' wider training squad and put into the Highlanders team to cover for their injury crisis in the centres.

The Highlanders have five midfielders unavailable through injury or other commitments.

He scored a try for his new team although the Chiefs ran out winners 38-36.
